Google+ Android Goodness

While the rest of the Android media reports only “minor” updates from the latest Google+ to hit Google Play, I’m here to tell you otherwise.
I do alot of Google+ stuff on my phone (Galaxy Nexus). It’s quick, it’s efficient, and I enjoy hearing the default notification sound (oddly enough, it’s called “Facebook Pop”). I also read lots of news and things on my phone. Until today, this has been a problem if I wanted to share something to Google+ because all it would do is embed the URL into my post.

All that changed today. Here’s What’s New:

  • Support for hashtags in the stream
  • Improved sharing support for 3rd Party apps
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements

See that second item? Improved sharing support for 3rd Party apps? That brings some goodness that will mean I can now post alot more content, and have the post include rich media (video embed for YouTube, for example).

So, if you’re a Google+ addict like me, then go get yourself the latest in Google+ Android Goodness.
